1. Independence & Non-Affiliation

HSClarity is an independent, privately operated tutoring service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, approved by, or in any way officially connected to:

• NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority)
• The NSW Department of Education
• The NSW Government or any government body
• Any school, college, or educational institution

2. No Guarantee of Results

HSClarity aims to help students achieve their best possible results in the HSC. However, we do not guarantee any specific mark, Band, ATAR, or academic outcome.

Academic results depend on many factors including, but not limited to, individual student effort, prior knowledge, consistency of study, exam conditions, and personal circumstances. Our tutoring services are designed to support and complement a student's own study, not substitute for individual effort.

3. Tutoring Services

HSClarity provides in-person HSC tutoring in the Kogarah area, Sydney NSW, in the following subjects:

• Mathematics Advanced
• Mathematics Extension 1
• Mathematics Extension 2
• Chemistry

Sessions are available as one-on-one or small group (2 to 4 students) formats. All bookings are subject to availability and require manual confirmation by the tutor.

4. Payment Terms

• Payment is by bank transfer.
• Payment details are provided after a booking is confirmed.
• Payment is due before each session, or weekly for recurring bookings, unless otherwise agreed.
• Free trial lessons carry no payment obligation.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling

• Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session.
• Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at the full session rate.
• No-shows without notice will be charged at the full session rate.
• The tutor reserves the right to reschedule sessions due to illness or emergency, with as much notice as possible.

6. Limitation of Liability

The information and services provided by HSClarity are for educational purposes only. To the maximum extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), HSClarity accepts no liability for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss or damage arising from the use of our services or reliance on any information provided.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that services will be provided with due care and skill.

7. Intellectual Property

All original content on this website, including text, design, and any tutoring materials created by HSClarity, is the intellectual property of HSClarity unless otherwise stated.

HSC syllabuses, past examination papers, and related educational materials remain the copyright of NESA and/or the NSW Government. Any such materials referenced by HSClarity are used for educational purposes only.

8. Privacy Policy

HSClarity collects personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What we collect

• Student and parent/guardian names and contact details (email, phone number)
• Year level and subjects of interest
• Any information you voluntarily provide via our booking or contact forms

How we use it

• To arrange, confirm, and manage tutoring sessions
• To communicate with you about our services
• To improve our services

How we protect it

• Personal information is stored securely and is not shared with third parties except as required by law
• We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information
• Form submissions via this website are processed by Netlify (our hosting provider). See Netlify's privacy policy for their data handling practices

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at HSClarity.Tutoring@gmail.com.

9. Working With Children

The tutor at HSClarity holds a valid NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) as required by the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 (NSW). A copy of the WWCC verification number is available upon request.

10. Website Terms of Use

This website is provided for informational purposes. While we make reasonable efforts to keep the content accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that the information on this website is complete, accurate, or current at all times. Use of this website is at your own discretion.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
